This photo tour is a little different than what we are used to. Instead of featuring a modern, big and mainstream ship, we decided to present the Marco Polo to our readers. One of the older ships still in service, she was built, literally, a half century ago. She currently sails for Cruise & Maritime Voyages on a seasonal basis.
The Marco Polo actually started its career as a Soviet ship (how ironic!), and a real ocean liner. She was built to link St. Petersburg (then known as Leningrad) to Canada. Her original name was Alexander Pushkin, in honor of a Russian poet. By the way, the area in this pic is accessible to every guest!
